Scaffold Inspection

Overview

This course is for all personnel required to inspect scaffolds suitable for site supervisors, managers and Health and Safety Advisors of whom may have a responsibility for carrying out basic scaffold inspections on site.

Course Content

The course will give trainees a thorough understanding of: Regulations and approved Codes of Practice, scaffolding terminology, tubes, boards and fittings, ladders, gin wheels and ropes, scaffold ties.

Construction regulations and recommendations of basic scaffolds to include: Independent, putlog, birdcage, towers, system scaffolds, fans Practical inspection and reports.

Course Benefits

Those who complete this course will understand scaffold structures and will be able to provide methods of erecting and dismantling. Delegates will also be able to identify faults and hazards upon inspection.

Who Should Attend

A person such as an engineer, supervisor, operative or anyone within the workplace that dismantles, erects steel tube and fitting scaffolds as part of their working duties.

Qualifications you gain

Upon completion, delegates will receive a certificate that will last for 3 years. This course will need to be completed again if delegates wish to renew this qualification.
