Manual Handling

Overview

Our manual handling training courses are designed to support employees responsible for transporting heavy loads by hand (including lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving). Our courses will also prepare employees to carry out comprehensive manual handling risk assessments in the workplace.

Course Content

Lifting and lowering techniques, safe weights for lifting and lowering, carrying, risk assessments and HSE tools, pushing and pulling, and team handling.

Course Benefits

It is essential training for all employees who may be faced with heavy lifting. Incorrect manual handling is one of the most common causes of injury at work, accounting for over a third of all workplace injuries.

Who Should Attend

Manual handling training is a legal requirement in any situation where your staff are required to do any lifting, lowering, pulling or pushing that carries any level risk.

Qualifications you gain

Upon completion, delegates will receive a certificate that will last for 3 years. This course will need to be completed again if delegates wish to renew this qualification.
