This is an awareness course only and does not train you to work with asbestos containing materials.
Course Content
This awareness course provides candidates with the knowledge and skills required to make sure that they know the outlines regarding working safely and effectively in the presence of Asbestos, this also incorporates Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012) and Health & Safety Executive (HSE) guidance.
Who Should Attend
Asbestos awareness training is required to be given to employees whose work could foreseeably expose them to asbestos. In particular, it should be given to all demolition workers and those workers in the refurbishment, maintenance and allied trades where it is foreseeable that their work will disturb the fabric of the building because ACMs may become exposed during their work.
Qualifications you gain
Upon completion, delegates will receive a certificate that will last for 3 years. This course will need to be completed again if delegates wish to renew this qualification.
