Water Hygiene

Overview

 

This course, available as either in-centre or virtual training, is designed for anyone who comes into contact with potable water. Anyone working on service reservoirs, pumping stations, treatment plants, wells, springs, boreholes, or on the network of water mains and service pipes must hold this qualification

Course Content

 

Module 1: Importance of Water
Highlights the value of clean water and its role in sustaining life.

Module 2: Waterborne Diseases
Explores how water transmits diseases, with a focus on historic cases and prevention.

Module 3: Contamination Risks
Examines sources of water contamination and their potential impacts.

Module 4: Preventing Contamination
Outlines strategies and practices to protect water quality.

Assessment

In-centre: Training is conducted in a classroom setting, followed by a written test.
Virtual: Training is delivered online via Microsoft Teams or Zoom, with an online test.

No formal qualifications or experience are necessary.

Qualifications You Gain

On satisfactory completion of the course, an In House Certificate of Competence will be issued that will be valid for three years.
