Second Corporate Manslaughter Case

The CPS has advised Greater Manchester Police to charge Lion Steel Ltd in Manchester with corporate manslaughter following the death of a worker, Steven Berry.

Mr Berry died when he fell through a fragile roof panel at a site in Hyde, Greater Manchester. In addition to the corporate manslaughter charge, three of the company directors at Lion Steel Ltd – Kevin Palliser, Richard Williams and Graham Coupe – have been charged with gross negligence manslaughter.
