COURSE AIMS
This 10-day practical workshop provides delegates with an opportunity for practical application of Lean and 6-Sigma tools and techniques to maintain and improve their business. It will help them to identify and eliminate waste and variability whilst explaining how to motivate and empower teams to implement and sustain change.
COURSE CONTENT
The workshop is typically run in two 1-week will blocks and covers the following topics:
- Structured approach to problem solving – DMAIC
- Value in the eyes of the customer
- Flow & value stream mapping
- Takt time and OEE
- Data variability and data charting
- Running a Baseline event
- Practical use of tools – IPO diagrams, 5S, Kanban, SMED, Fishbone diagram, Standard work
- Successfully implementing change
- Visual Performance Management systems
- Sustaining the change – Effective Leadership behaviours
- Kaizen Blitz events
- After action reviews
Throughout the workshop a number of business simulation exercises are used to help delegates understand and embed key learnings.
