HSE Initiative
Asbestos is Britain’s biggest occupational killer – know the risks and learn how to protect yourself with free asbestos awareness training
- Approximately 4000 people die every year from asbestos-related diseases, including approximately 20 tradesmen a week.
- If you work on buildings built or refurbished before the year 2000, they could contain asbestos.
The HSE is working closely with training providers in order to pledge a target of 4000 hours towards asbestos awareness training and the opportunity is for a limited time – don’t delay. Asbestos awareness training is only the first step. You should also have job-specific, training for non-licensed work to give you the practical know-how.
Our Pledge
Seaham Safety Services Ltd are proud to be part of the HSE asbestos training pledge and have allocated two full courses in November with a total of 40 free of charge places available.
