COURSE AIMS
Although SMSTS certificates last five years, Constructions Skills encourages holders to refresh after three years.
This refresher course aims to bring individuals’ Health and Safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of legislation changes and their impact in the workplace.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This refresher course is ideal for any SMSTS certificate holders who need to renew their certificate.
COURSE CONTENT
The course will cover the following topics:
- The changes to Health and Safety legislation – particularly in the construction industry
- Accident trends and prevention techniques
- Principle of working at height
- The changes to COSHH
- Stress related problems
- Effective communication with the workforce
COURSE BENEFITS
After completing the course participants should have an understanding of up to date Health and Safety knowledge and be aware of legislation changes and the impact these have within their workplace.

Scheduled courses held at our Seaham office are available at a discounted rate of £280.00 +VAT per person.

All prices include full colour manuals, candidate registration, exam fees, lunch and refreshments.
FUNDING
Companies registered and in scope with CITB-ConstructionSkills may be eligible to claim an attendance grant on completion of any of our Site Safety Plus courses.

Day release – One day per week for 2 weeks 8:30am – 4:30pm (Available at our Seaham venue only)

Block courses – 2 days in the same week 8:30am – 4:30pm (Available at all venues)
