COURSE AIMS
The SMSTS course (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) covers all relevant legislation and other aspects which affect safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries.
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) courses focus on the need for Risk Assessment in the workplace, the implementation of necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a safe practice in the workplace.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
SMSTS courses are designed for contract or construction managers, directors and other management who are responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering a workforce.

COURSE CONTENT
The SMSTS courses will cover the following topics:
- Site set-up
- CDM
- Risk Assessment
- Method Statement
- Scaffolding
- Electricity
- Excavations
- Demolition
- Confined spaces
- Health and Safety regulations
COURSE BENEFITS
After completing the course participants should be able to understand the need for Risk Assessment, understand the implementation of necessary control measures and be aware of the importance of communication to enable a safe working environment.
Participants completing SMSTS courses will receive a Construction Skills Site Safety Plus Site Management Safety Training Scheme certificate on completion.
PRICE
Scheduled SMSTS courses held at our Seaham office are available at a discounted rate of £470 +VAT per person.
(reductions will be given for multiple bookings)
All prices include GE700 manuals, candidate registration, exam fees, lunch and refreshments.
FUNDING
Companies registered and in scope with CITB-ConstructionSkills may be eligible to claim an attendance grant on completion of any of our Site Safety Plus courses.

Wednesday’s 17th, 24th, 31st July, 7th, 14th August 2013
Wednesday’s 28th August, 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th September 2013
Block courses – 5 days in the same week 8:30am – 4:30pm (Available at all venues)
Dates: Monday 23rd – Friday 27th September 2013
Bespoke courses – Courses can also be delivered specifically for your organisation at your place of work subject to delegate numbers (Contact us for details).
