COURSE AIMS

The SMSTS course (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) covers all relevant legislation and other aspects which affect safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries.

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) courses focus on the need for Risk Assessment in the workplace, the implementation of necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a safe practice in the workplace.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

SMSTS courses are designed for contract or construction managers, directors and other management who are responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering a workforce.

COURSE BENEFITS

After completing the course participants should be able to understand the need for Risk Assessment, understand the implementation of necessary control measures and be aware of the importance of communication to enable a safe working environment.

Participants completing SMSTS courses will receive a Construction Skills Site Safety Plus Site Management Safety Training Scheme certificate on completion.

PRICE

£595 +VAT per person for scheduled courses held at one of our nationwide venues. (reductions will be given for multiple bookings)

Scheduled SMSTS courses held at our Seaham office are available at a discounted rate of £495 +VAT per person.

All prices include GE700 manuals, candidate registration, exam fees, lunch and refreshements.

We are currently offering a further 10% discount on all Site Safety Plus courses at our Seaham Venue to coincide with the ConstructionSkills Site Safety Plus increased level of grant.

FUNDING

Companies registered and in scope with CITB-ConstructionSkills may be eligible to claim an attendance grant on completion of any of our Site Safety Plus courses.

From the 1st October 2011 – 31st March 2012 CITB-ConstructionSkills are increasing the level of grant from £17.50 per person per day to £52.50.

COURSE OPTIONS

Block courses – 5 days in the same week 8:30am – 4:30pm (Available at all venues)
Day release – One day per week for 5 weeks 8:30am – 4:30pm (Available at our Seaham venue only)
Bespoke courses – Courses can also be delivered specifically for your organisation at your place of work subject to delegate numbers (Contact us for details).
