Safeguarding Children - Level 2
Aim: To raise more in-depth awareness of safeguarding children issues within training/ apprenticeship settings
Objectives of our safeguarding children training courses:
- To consider the current context of child protection with a focus on issues for young people
- To discuss the recognition/identification of physical, sexual, emotional abuse and neglect
- To examine the role of key agencies in safeguarding children
- To identify the relevant law regarding safeguarding children
- To discuss the use of procedures as required by own agency and the Local Safeguarding Children Board
- To identify factors which may affect a parent/carer’s capacity to respond to their child’s needs
- To learn key lessons from local and national Serious Case Reviews
Duration: 1 day
Suitable For: Any agency who works with young people within a training/ apprenticeship setting. Course will meet OFSTED requirements for child protection training.
