CIEH FOOD SAFETY COURSES
Level 2 Awards in Food Safety include the following:
· Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
· Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing
· Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Retail
The CIEH Level 2 Awards in food safety are suitable for a variety of candidates working in the catering, manufacturing or retail environments. The awards at this level are designed for staff that prepare, cook and handle food.
The course will cover the following elements:
· Food safety hazards
· Temperature control
· Refrigeration, chilling and cold holding
· Cooking, hot holding and reheating
· Food handling
· Principles of safe food storage
· Food premises and equipment
After completing the course, participants should be knowledgeable in the correct handling of food as well as have a knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety legislations within the workplace.
The participant will be awarded a Level 2 certificate in Food Safety.
